22525 Wildcat Rd, Germantown, MD 20876
We are a small-scale natural farm in Germantown, Maryland growing with the seasons and connecting our community through food, florals, farm experiences, and other farm friends.
Our belief is that through mindful land stewardship, natural food production, and agriculturally-based community building experiences, we are able to more deeply connect and get grounded in our local culture.
Some of our services include a cooperative CSA program where members can pick up seasonal produce weekly, on farm workshops and events to gain knowledge and experience something new, and locally sourced florals for weddings.
Love & Grit Farm was founded in 2019, driven by a love of fresh food and the grit of the outdoors.
Our farm’s current resting place in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve on a quaint 8.5 acre property nestled next to the Seneca Greenway trail system in Germantown, Maryland.
Love & Grit Farm couples regenerative agriculture practices, modern innovation, and unique and valued partnerships with other local agricultural & experiential businesses to provide a farm experience for our community. We pride ourselves in following regenerative and natural practices to produce a bio-diverse offering of fresh foods for our community.
Growing up I was always drawn to experience food and connection through its most basic and elemental factors. Finding the authenticity in connection became a passion of mine, bringing me closer to exploring growing foods naturally, and experiencing the outdoors as often as possible. This has somehow brought me to this place of Love & Grit Farm where I’ve found a home and love for farming and growing a business in partnership with many different people.
I LOVE the versatility of owning this farm - we can make hot sauce, teach children about food and forests, grow a CSA in cooperation with other farm friends, and design floral experiences for the newly wedded couples in love - all under the umbrella of agriculture. I’ve learned that bridging a connection between people and elemental experiences can look like many different things.
My mission at Love & Grit is to remain humbled by the expertise of those around me - living in a daily practice of growing, learning, betterment of my community, and good food. If we can serve as an example of a new, sustainable small-scale agricultural business, I would call this endeavor a success.
There is always community if you want it to be there - sometimes you just have to GROW it.
